"From the front door to the back door, I would like to thank everybody at Prairie Opportunity for helping me in my time of need. A few years ago, I had to retire due to health concerns. However, my house was in need of a lot of repairs. So much so, that in the Wintertime I would go to bed with layers of clothing on. I called Prairie Opportunity, asked for help and got in line. Ms. Sheryl Perkins talked to me and was able to assist me. Her entire Weatherization staff was professional. I have nothing to complain about. My house is old and cold. But since the job has been done, it is warm in the Winter and cool in the Summer. Thank you Prairie Opportunity!"

“I called Prairie Opportunity for assistance with repairing my central unit. The case worker put in a referral to the weatherization program to see about my central unit that would not turn on. I received an air condition unit from Prairie Opportunity and it really changed my life because my unit has been broken for about 2 years. I really appreciate you guys so much. I have also received benefits for my electric bills. It really saved me and my boys because we were able to purchase food rather than worry about how the light bill was going to get paid and how we would be able to eat. “I was blessed in 2016, to come into (the) Prairie Opportunity, Inc. to ask for help to weatherizing my home. I had just lost my husband in January of 2016, (he) left me with very little to live on. My house was in very bad shape. My utilities bill was very high, because (the) air and heat was going outside the home, cause of the many cracks in the house. Prairie Opportunity approved me and gave me a new home. All the cracks are filled and I am so appreciative (to) the staff and workers. They did and awesome job on my home.
